Following in the footsteps of Duff and Ryan, I've decided to make the committment of spending 30 days on retreat this year... I spent over 50 days on retreat last year, and the years before that close to 20 each year. I won't even begin to rant on how vital retreat practice has been (cause I already did here).
All the same, I think 30 days of retreat practice is an absolutely solid committment to make. One teacher I've been on retreat with, Leigh Brasington, suggested this very thing to his students, as did Trungpa Rinpoche to his senior student Reggie Ray. But I'm not trying to make an "argument by authority" y'all, just trying to make a case for time out to get your practice swerve on...

Awesome Vince! I’ve never actually been on a long retreat. Sounds like something I might need to give a shot at.
w00t! kick-ass personal development bodhisattva Steve Pavlina would agree :)
hahaha… Well, you must not’ve read my recent criticism of Steve’s Bear Bombs… :-D
